Welcome Ken and Polly!
During a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset, Polly Sanders and Ken Ives became members of the club. Polly and Ken were sponsored by Past President Mariko Higashi. The induction ceremony was officiated by Al Weiland, Assistant Governor for the Coastal Maui Rotary Clubs.
Polly Sanders studied Art at UC Davis and has always considered art her primary passion. Her career began in broadcast advertising sales in Los Angeles, which was followed by 25 years working in real estate in Sacramento, California. After retiring with Ken in 2017, they moved to Maui. Following a battle with a medical condition, Polly rekindled her enthusiasm for art. She is now eager to contribute her time and talents to the Rotary club.
Ken Ives has owned property in Lahaina for over 18 years and became a permanent resident in 2020. Previously, Ken spent 32 years as a home inspector in Sacramento, California, where he and his wife Polly worked in real estate. Ken is active in his community, contributing to HOA committees and assisting neighbors with construction needs. After the wildfires, he helped an owner navigate rebuilding challenges. Ken and Polly stay active as runners, cyclists, and surfers, enjoying life on Maui.
