Three New Members Inducted into the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset
During a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset, Tony Nethercutt, Carrie Brose and Lisa Francis became members of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset. Tony and Carrie were sponsored by Past President Joanne Laird and Lisa was sponsored by Secretary Laura Stanton. The induction ceremony was officiated by Mariko Higashi, Past Assistant Governor for the Coastal Maui Rotary Clubs.
 
Tony Nethercutt is a new full-time resident of Maui, having moved to Launiupoko in June of 2025.  He and his partner, Carrie Brose, relocated from Soquel, Ca. (Santa Cruz County).  Until moving to Maui, Tony was a member of Rotary Club of Santa Cruz Sunrise.  Tony retired from a career in television and digital advertising sales management in 2014.  In television, Tony worked for several companies including ABC and New World.  In digital, he worked for companies including DoubleClick, Yahoo, YouTube, and Google.  Tony looks forward to helping the Lahaina community, as he has in Santa Cruz and Marin County for years.  Tony is presently the board chair at Digital Nest in California.  “The Nest” helps underserved youth gain digital skills and employment.   In Lahaina, Tony is already contributing to the Na Kia’I O Maui organization as well as Homeaid.org.
 
Carrie Brose lived most of her life in Santa Cruz, CA except for 2 years as child when her family lived on The Big Island. Carrie is retired after a 25-year career in Medical Transcription.  When medical records went to being digitally recorded, Carrie started anew, making jewelry and co-owning the retail store, Beach Girl, with two friends.  Carrie still makes jewelry for herself and friends as well as creating many different craft projects. Carrie also enjoys, cooking, being in the sun, watching old “feel good” television, scary movies, and golf.
 
Lisa Francis serves as Vice President and Branch Manager at the Bank of Hawaii's Lahaina Branch. A Maui resident for 33 years, she is married with two adult children and a family dog named Gus. Lisa is an active Board Member of the Lahainaluna High School Foundation and enjoys watching HGTV and Korean dramas. She takes great pride in returning to Chaminade University to pursue another degree.
