TWO WEST SIDE ROTARY CLUBS COLLECT SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND CASH FOR STUDENTS IN NEED

On September 7th and 9th two of the West Maui Rotary Clubs held very successful drives to collect school supplies for children in need.  12 boxes of school supplies and over $800 in funds were collected during the two days of the collection effort.

On Friday September 7th the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset held this project for the children of Princess Nahienaena and Hana Elementary Schools.  On Sunday September 9th the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise held the project for the students of Kamehameha III School.  Collected supplies and funds will be delivered to the three schools later this month.  Both clubs would like to offer their sincere thanks to the Lahaina Cannery Mall and CBRW Property Management Pacific Southwest for allowing the clubs to set up their collection tables and tents at the mall entrance next to Long’s.  Without such support from these agencies, the drives would not have been able to take place.
