Vice President of HCF to speak at meeting
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Keanu Lau Hee will be the speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting. She is the Vice President of Community Resilience and Strategic Implementation at the Hawaii Community Foundation. Her topic will be the Maui Recovery Effort/Maui Strong Fund 2026.
Ms. Hee will provide an overview of Maui’s ongoing recovery, including how the Maui Strong Fund has supported community organizations, housing solutions, and key long‑term rebuilding efforts. She will share where Maui is in the recovery timeline and how upcoming funding priorities will continue strengthening the island’s path forward.
Before stepping into her current executive role, Ms. Hee served as Senior Director of the Maui Recovery Effort, building on her extensive experience in emergency management, strategic planning, land use, and public-sector coordination. Her previous service as a deputy in both the Maui County Managing Director’s Office and the Office of Recovery equipped her with deep insight into Maui’s disaster response, recovery frameworks, and community needs.
The meeting will be held at the YMCA West Side Resource Center, located in the old Tamura’s building in Emerald Plaza. The address is 226 Kupuohi Street, Lahaina, 96761. The social period will begin at 5:00 pm; attendees are encouraged to bring a potluck item to share. The formal meeting program is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
