“BYRD” FROM JUDGE JUDY TO BE VIRTUAL SPEAKER ON JULY 21ST
At 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday July 21st, “Bryd” from Judge Judy will be the virtual speaker at a Zoom meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset. “Live from California” Petri-Hawkins Byrd will speak about his 24-year career on the TV show, Judge Judy. In 1996, when Sheindlin was offered her own TV series, Byrd wrote her a congratulatory letter, saying: "If you ever need a bailiff, my uniform still fits." Judge Judy called him at home to offer him a role, which he accepted. At that time Byrd was working at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, California. Club member Joanne Laird states: “I was his boss! We have kept in touch after all of these years and when our meetings went to the Zoom format, I could think of no better speaker for a club meeting!” Bryd will be available for Questions and Answers from Zoom meeting participants at the conclusion of his presentation.
