
NEW MEMBER INDUCTED INTO ROTARY CLUB OF LAHAINA SUNSET
During a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset, Douglas Moore officially became a member of the club. His sponsorship came from club member Heidi Dollinger. The induction ceremony was officiated by Al Weiland, Assistant Governor for the Coastal Maui Rotary Clubs.
Douglas Moore is a full-time resident of Maui, living at The Masters in Kaanapali for the past three years. Doug and his wife, Deborah, moved from central Washington State where they have been farming for 45 years, growing irrigated row crops and apples. Doug has served on the board and was board chairman for the Odessa Union Warehouse Coop, and served for many years as a commissioner on the Washington State Potato Marketing Order. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball for many years, along with coaching AAU basketball. More recently, he and his wife volunteered for World Central Kitchen following the Lahaina fires. Doug enjoys walking, swimming, traveling and learning the golf game.
