E-Cycle in Kapalua

Montage Kapalua Bay will host E-Cycle Kapalua, an electronics recycling event for West Maui residents on Saturday, July 15, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Residents may drop off five types of electronics, by appointment only, without charge:  TVs, computers (including laptops and tablets), monitors, printers, and cell phones.

            This free event is co-sponsored by Montage Kapalua Bay, 5A Rent-A-Space, Malama Maui Nui, and the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset.  The event is for residential recycling only, not for commercial recycling. 

            “Since Go Green Recycling in West Maui was suspended last October, we know West Maui residents have been looking for convenient places to recycle home electronics,” notes Kelsey Briggs, Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset President.  “This event will provide the perfect opportunity to recycle electronic devices rather than discarding them in the trash and, ultimately, in the Maui landfill.” 

            The event will be held at Montage Kapalua Bay, 1 Bay Drive, Kapalua in the employee parking lot.  Only the five types of electronics noted above -- including cords, chargers and keyboards -- will be accepted at the event.  No other types of electronics will be accepted.  Residents who want to recycle electronic devices must schedule an online appointment on Malama Maui Nui’s website at:  https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/4fdd179860b3491ba86105775ba57a34
