Al Weiland is a retired OB-Gyn physician who practiced in the Portland, Oregon area with Kaiser Permanente. For 12 years he was the President of NW Permanente, PC, the medical group of the Kaiser program, with around 1100 physicians. After retirement, Al helped found a national Disease Management company for Kaiser, and then consulted for a year with the State of Oregon Health and Human Services Department as they prepared to implement the Affordable Care Act. He moved to Maui full-time in 2019 and joined the Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea. He was Administrative Services Chair, and is now President. After attending several meetings of the District 5000 Health Services committee, as the only non-Oahu member, he founded the Maui Rotary Health Services committee.
