ROTARY CLUB OF LAHAINA SUNSET SPONSORS SUCCESSFUL “FRIENDRAISER”
On Tuesday January 17 the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset sponsored a very successful “Friendraiser”. Held at the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant, more than 50 members and guests gathered to feast on a pupu buffet and learn details about this vibrant West Maui Rotary Club. Facts and photos were shared with the guests by eight club members with details about the activities the club has sponsored in the Rotary Avenues of Service this past year. Guests were paired with existing members to complete a “Rotary Quiz”. Prizes were awarded at the end of the evening to those guests with the most correct answers. A special feature of the “Friendraiser” was the induction of the newest member of the club, Nadine Ramelb. Nadine is a local artist and author who has resided in West Maui for 40 years. Nadine was inducted by Past District Governor Sandy Matsui from Oahu who attended the event with friends who were visiting Maui.
