2022 Go for the Green Scholarships Awarded
The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset announces the recipients of the two “Go for the Green” $2500 Scholarships. These scholarships were offered to select high school students who reside in West Maui, Molokai or Hana. The applicants must be attending an accredited college and be pursuing a field of study that will benefit the environment. Shelby Dresser and Angelina Graham from Maui Preparatory Academy were the recipients of the 2022 “Go for the Green” scholarships.
Shelby Dresser will be attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and will be majoring in Communications design. To quote Shelby: “Thank you Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset for allowing me to peruse my passion for sustainable fashion.”
Angelina Graham will be attending the University of California at Berkeley and will be studying Biology with a dual major of Astrophysics or Aerospace Engineering. To quote Angelina: "This award has encouraged me to keep striving for excellence in my studies. Thank you so much for taking an interest in the next generation's scientists. I couldn't be more grateful and couldn't be more excited to see how this scholarship helps me achieve my dreams."
