Jenny Worth - 6th new member this year!
 
At a recent virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset  Jenny Worth was inducted as the club’s newest member.  She was inducted into the club by District Governor Naomi Masuno.   Jenny was sponsored by member and Assistant Governor Mariko Higashi. 
 
Jenny is from Kernville, California, a small town in the Sequoia National Forest.  She received her undergraduate degree at Redlands University in Sociology with an Archaeology emphasis.  She pursued a graduate degree in Archaeology and Geographic Information Sytems at California State University San Bernardino and has worked as an archeologist at the federal, state, and local levels. 
 
In 2010, she moved with her husband and two daughters to Maui. The reside in the Kaanapali Alii for two years before relocating to Kaanapali Hillside. She spent the first two years working with the Friends of Moku'ula until beginning work with Maui Preparatory Academy as a private contractor in 2012. She has spent the last ten years in fundraising and has received the Executive Fundraising Certification in 2020 while leading the Capital Campaign for Maui Preparatory Academy's Bozich Center. 
 
In July of 2020, she took the Maui County Director position with the American Red Cross. She is humbled and inspired by work with the Red Cross and looks forward to many fulfilling years in the role.  She is also excited to join the members of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset – a club that does so many good works for our community and beyond.
 
The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset is meeting virtually via Zoom.  Meetings are held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5thTuesday evenings at 5:30pm.  The public is invited to join in on any meeting.  Contact Mariko Higashi at Mariko Higashi marikoinmaui@gmail.com to receive the Zoom link.
