TWO WEST SIDE ROTARY CLUBS COLLECT SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND CASH FOR STUDENTS IN NEED

On Saturday August 8 and Sunday August 9 two of the West Maui Rotary Clubs held very successful drives to collect school supplies for children in need.  Over 100 lbs. of school supplies and $1200 in funds were collected during the two days of the collection effort.

On Saturday August 8th the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset held project for the children of Hana School.  On Sunday August 9th the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise held the project for the students of Kamehameha III School.  Collected supplies and funds will be delivered to both schools this month.  Both clubs would like to offer their sincere thanks to the Lahaina Cannery Mall and Gilbert and Associates for allowing the clubs to set up their collection tables and tents on the parking lot in front of Long’s Drugs.  Without such support from these agencies, the drives would not have been able to take place.
