JAYLOU CABRERA TO SPEAK
On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Jaylou Cabrera will be the speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting. Cabrera will share information about the new West Maui YMCA Resource Center.
The presentation outlines the new upcoming Westside Resource Center, opening this summer at 226 Kupuohi street in Lahaina. Her presentation will highlight not only plans for the Resource Center but she will share about the work YMCA has done in Lahaina since the fires in August 2023. The Westside Resource Center will focus on four key areas of community need such as mental health, kupuna services, youth care and development, and community gathering spaces. Through partner collaborations to goal of the center is to foster resilience, promote well-being, strengthen and uplift the Lahaina community.
Jaylou Cabrera comes from a background in corporate sales and business administration, though most importantly she is born and raised in the town of Lahaina. She transitioned from her sales career to pursue work that gives back to her community in 2022. Now as the Director of the YMCA Westside Resource Center, she focuses on supporting like minded non profits, fostering collaboration, and providing essential resources to strengthen community impact.
The meeting will be held at the portable classroom building at Sacred Hearts School, located in Ka`anapali at 2530 Keka`a Drive, Lahaina, 96761.
