General Manager of Maui Ocean Center to be speaker at Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset
Tapani Vuori, the General Manager of Maui Ocean Center will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset ‘s Zoom meeting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday October 19th.
Vuori is a visionary for the future of our oceans. He is charismatic, multi-passionate, and a man of his word who doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Vuori lives the aquarium’s mission of fostering understanding, wonder, and respect for Hawaiʻi’s marine life and shares this message with everyone he encounters. A spirited caretaker of both the land and sea, he is determined to leave the island of Maui better than he found it for the generations to come. Vuori became the founder and president of the Maui Ocean Center Marine Institute (MOCMI), which serves to restore Hawaiʻi’s coral reefs and rehabilitate injured Hawaiian green sea turtles. He will share information about this organization and the programs offered at the Maui Ocean Center.
