Lahaina Sunset installed the first StarLink devices!
We were the first to fill this need with the installation of the first 8 devices on West Maui! Free Starlink WiFi Hotspots to assist residents affected by the recent wildfires in Maui. Understanding the urgent need for reliable internet access for affected families and emergency responders, The Lahaina Sunset club has spearheaded this initiative to offer Starlink WiFi Hotspots at strategic locations throughout West Maui. Each location hotspot can connect 128 devices. Access to these WiFi Hotspots is entirely free and is intended to assist those impacted by the wildfires in managing emergency logistics, staying in touch with family and friends, and accessing crucial updates. The devices have already been moved to varying locations depending on need since the first installation one week after the August 8 Maui Fires.
