Welcome our 48th member!
We inducted our 48th member at our meeting on 5/20/25.
Clare Chamberlain is a full- time resident of West Maui , living in Kaanapali for almost 3 years.  Originally from England, Clare moved to the US in the early 80's  to work as a Registered Nurse. She made Sonoma County in Northern California her home for 40 years, raising 3 children there, largely as a single mother. After many years of ICU nursing  she chose to work “regular 8-5 hours”  in a Pediatric office, doing triage.
Four years ago, due to health issues she retired, and soon moved to Maui.
Clare was on Maui during the Lahaina Wild Fires and enjoyed volunteering at a Medical tent and also spent many days at different hubs cooking and generally helping fire victims. In the past another volunteering opportunity took Clare to work at an Eye Clinic in the jungles of Nicaragua.
When able Clare enjoys being active outside, swimming, playing golf, pickle ball, also enjoys walking her rescue dog. The arts are another favorite pass time and she enjoys reading, dabbles in water color painting, and has just started to play the ukulele.
Clare is looking forward to being an active member of the Rotary
Club of Lahaina Sunset, and especially to volunteering to help the local community. Clare was sponsored by Deborah Moore and was inducted by Assistant Governor Al Weiland.
