ROTARY CLUB OF LAHAINA SUNSET INDUCTS TWO NEW MEMBERS
At a recent virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset two new members were inducted as the club’s newest members. Courtney and Jeff Sakalosky were inducted into the club by Rotary District 5000 Governor Sandy Matsui.
Courtney Sakalosky is an Omaha Nebraska native, who has also resided in Pleasanton CA, Erie CO, and now resides in Lahaina HI. Courtney is a wife, mother of 4 amazing humans, and a special education teacher of 19 years. Courtney currently teaches for the DOE at Lihikai Elementary School and she holds a Masters Degree in Education. Courtney has been actively involved in PTO, PTA, member of the Erie High School Booster Club, Erie Optimist Club and has volunteered and organized countless fundraising events in prior communities, Courtney has also held leadership roles in the education sector. Courtney currently serves on the Kahoma Village HOA as secretary and design review committee chairperson. In her spare time Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and family. She enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, biking, and basically anything outdoors. She also adores her balck lab Porter.
Jeff is also an Omaha, NE native who has lived in California, Colorado and now resides in Lahaina, HI. Even though Jeff and his spouse, Courtney, are new to Lahaina, he and his spouse are not new to rolling up their sleeves to serve community. Jeff is a Financial Professional with a Midwest work ethic who has over 18 years of experience. This experience has allowed him to hone his skills in Annual Planning, Financial Modeling, P&L Management, Product Costing, Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Supply Chain Operations. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeff made the decision to pivot. Using his toolbelt of skill sets, network of relationships, and faith, he decided to establish Amentous, LLC. Jeff has had the unique opportunity to work with several large and start-up companies. He draws from a breadth of experience across many roles within ConAgra Foods, Sara Lee, Danone-Whitewave, Boulder Brands, Califlour Foods, and Mutual of Omaha. Outside of the office, Jeff had held President and Treasurer positions for a 501(c)(3) in Erie, CO. He continues to spend time working towards industry credentials and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as SCUBA diving, hiking, cycling, and pickleball. He is also passionate about spending quality time with his wife Courtney, his four kids, Keegan, Kennidy, Karson and Kampbell and learning how to create culinary experiences to enjoy with others. (All four children joined the Zoom meeting from the mainland to see their parents’ induction ceremony!)
