Newest member inducted!
We inducted our newest member at our meeting on 10/7/25.
Joan Parks may be new to living in Maui full-time, but she’s been visiting the island for more than two decades, drawn by its natural beauty. After a 40-year career as an Emergency Medicine Nurse—including 18 years with the Department of Defense Health Agency—she retired in 2023. Seeking sunnier weather, Joan moved from Washington State and now calls Kihei home, sharing her space with Daphne, her adopted cat, and living alongside Joanne and Larry Laird at Kalama Heights Retirement Community. In her free time, Joan loves swimming, attending ProArts productions and Maui Pops concerts, as well as exploring thrift shops. She is eager to learn about and contribute to her new community with enthusiasm and dedication.
