November 15 meeting

We welcomed our 25^th member to our club – Nina Paolo!  Nina was inducted by Assistant District Governor Wendy Hornack in front of an enthusiastic group of Rotarians and guests.  We heard a great Membership Minute from Mariko Higashi and Jim Fahnestock challenged us to create our own “Elevator Speech” in a new contest.  Sandy Schneider shared a wide array of Community Service projects for November and sign-up sheets were distributed.  Mike Comstock displayed our wonderful new banners and entrance and exit A-frame signs for the 3^rd Saturday Recycling Events.  Now our “customers” will know where to go to drop off their recyclables.  We celebrated our November Birthday – Mariko Higashi, and November 2-year Club Anniversary Sunny VerMaas with celebration cupcakes.  Our first-ever Member Handbook was distributed and now all members can easily locate all kinds of club information – “everything you wanted to know about Lahaina Sunset but were afraid to ask”!!  Ending drawing prize winners were Aoy Comstock and Carmen Karady.
