Director of Operations for Tipu Tipu Foundation to speak at Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting
On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Andrea Scholz will be the speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting. The topic of her presentation will be “Tipu Tipu – Native Ecosystem, Wetlands & Watershed Restoration “
Tipu Tipu, is a Maui-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration of Maui’s native land and marine ecosystems, shares on the importance of community development, proactive climate action, and sustainable land stewardship initiatives.
Andrea Scholz will share how Tipu Tipu is working to increase Maui Countyʻs natural disaster resiliency through the establishment of seed farm and seed banking infrastructure that will support the next generation of restoration projects and sustainabilty professionals as they navigate the critical and emerging environmental challenges of global warming.
The meeting will be held at the YMCA West Side Resource Center, located in the old Tamura’s building in Emerald Plaza. The address is 226 Kupuohi Street, Lahaina, 96761. The social period will begin at 5:00 pm; light snacks are available for purchase. The formal meeting program is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
